Hello,
My name is Jill and I am the proprietress and creator of Bittersweet.
Since 1997, my passion has been to create a product line thats character is
built and inspired by days gone by.
My love for a time and period that reflected simpler days, when less was more,
and items were made by hand and passionately created.
The idea was not so much to re-create products from the past, but rather to
re-visit an era when workmanship and quality were king.
A time when the greatest attention was paid to the smallest of detail to ensure
that people could enjoy their purchase to the fullest, from beginning to end.
Bittersweet specializes in soap making. I've created a unique exclusive recipe
inspired by my French ancestors soap recipes. Each bar is rich with olive oil
and contains natural spring water, and is good for your skin, unlike synthetic
detergents or other so called soap.
I cut each bar by hand and then hand wrap the soap in beautiful packaging
and focus on the tiniest detail, insuring that what's outside is as pretty as
what's inside.
Even though soap making is my specialty, I also enjoy making other unique
soul satisfying essentials. All of my creations are hand-crafted and made with
my own two hands. I enjoy incorporating vintage inspired detail while
designing each item.
You won't find my creations mass produced or sitting from store shelf to store
shelf. I prefer a more personal approach to marketing my products, and
believe you will appreciate my philosophy too.
